Visual Artists Ireland Members: Get your vote in…
Visual Artists Ireland is delighted to announce a new award for visual artists working in Ireland. The award is not a financial reward. Instead, it is designed to be recognition by artists of one of their own. This can take the form of acknowledgment of a particular artist’s practice or their service to the visual artists’ community.
You must be a current member of Visual Artists Ireland to nominate somebody. BUT, you can nominate any artist currently working on the island of Ireland. They don’t have to be a member of Visual Artists Ireland.
There is a two stage process:
- The Call for Nominations from Visual Artists Ireland’s members with a small paragraph to explain their reason for proposing the artist.
- A short list will be made of visual artists with the most nominations. This will be published with the accompanying texts (without your name) explaining the nominations and opened to VAI members for voting.
The presentation will be made at Get Together 2015 on May 15th in IMMA.
You must have your membership paid and up to date, and VAI membership number to be able to put forward a nomination
