New Visual Arts Space for Dundalk

Verling Fine Art is a Fine Art & Craft gallery specialising in the sale and promotion of work by Irish and International artists in the disciplines of fine art, glass and ceramics. Founded by Sarah Daly and Francis Verling based on a lifelong passion and enthusiasm for Sculptural Objects and Fine & Functional Art (SOFFA!) the gallery will host its first winter exhibition at Creative Spark in Dundalk.

The exhibition will be formally opened on Thursday 4 December by Alan Kane, CEO of Craft NI.

Speaking of his excitement at launching the venture Francis Verling said “This has been a long-held ambition having worked with craft, design and arts practitioners for over 20 years. This exhibition is our opportunity to assist in the promotion of these amazing artists and to bring their work to a wider audience in Dundalk, Louth and the north-east.”

Local artists including Alva Gallagher, Leanne Mullen, Declan Honan, Nanette Ledwith and Frances Lambe will be joined by artists from Northern Ireland such as Adam Frew and Catherine Keenan, Limerick artists Tom Prendergast and Walter Verling HRHA, and American Scott Benefield.

The gallery will be open from the 4 December to the 5 January Thursdays to Sundays or by appointment by calling 086 179 2568.
